In depth

Verdict

Hawaam hasn't been beaten far in any of his races and should be losing his maiden tag before too long. However, he's thoroughly exposed and vulnerable to an improver and SOFFIA fits the bill. Eddie Lynam's filly showed plenty of pace and promise in her two runs last season and with her allowance aided by Robbie Downey's claim she can make a winning reappearance. Castletownshend hasn't made the expected progress from a very bright start at Naas in October though may have been undone by testing conditions. Wilderness caught the eye in the race Hawaam finished runner-up last time, staying on nicely, and the longer trip is in her favour.
