In depth

Verdict

NEW DIRECTION (NAP) had been in excellent form at Dundalk before returning to Turf and winning comfortably at Gowran last weekend. He's up 7lb but still looks on a fair mark and can complete a double. Aussie Valentine hasn't won for over two years but he's run some cracking races at this level and has to be respected. Song Of Namibia looked progressive when scoring at Limerick but couldn't handle a 9lb rise on his next start here. Shinghari is improving fast judging on his victory at Killarney though this is tougher with a 5lb rise to contend with.
