Verdict

BUSH PILOT is comfortably the pick of those with experience and is certain to have gained considerable impetus following an eye-catching run behind Freedom Square over 6f here in June. This is much more like his trip and he's taken to see off a host of choicely-bred newcomers including Aidan O'Brien's pair Century and Lone Star. The former is Joseph's pick and the Montjeu colt, whose dam was a 6f Group 3 winner, should prove best of the pair though Lone Star is a son of Sea The Stars who cost 200,000gns. Marakoush should prove the pick of the John Oxx trio and he looks a really nice long-term prospect while Jim Bolger's Spring Focus will have learnt from his run behind Australia here in July.
