Verdict

LINE DRUMMER ended his first campaign with a victory on soft ground at Tipperary in August. He reappeared with an impressive success there in May, again on ground with plenty of give, and found fast going against him after a long break at the beginning of this month. Today's easier conditions will help and he can get back to winning ways. Regulation has run his last five races here and performed with credit in all. However, he continues to climb the weights without winning and seems best on fast ground. Zalty has done well to win twice from just seven starts and doesn't look harshly treated at just 4lb higher than his victory at Leopardstown in June. Rocktique made a winning debut in a Navan maiden and though well beaten subsequently it was in a Listed contest.
