Verdict

With Emily Upjohn's luck running out again, MAGICAL LAGOON looks the one to benefit after her victory the Ribblesdale where she had History almost three lengths back in third. She relished fast ground and didn't shirk the issue when put under pressure at Ascot and should still have some improvement in her. Ryan Moore, who rode the third that day, chooses Toy over her and Emily Dickinson though his mount has been well beaten in classics at Longchamp and Chantilly since easily landing a Cork maiden. Cairde Go Deo's victory in a Listed contest at Leopardstown was given a boost when runner-up Boundless Ocean easily won a Group 3 there on Thursday.
