Verdict

There have been some high-class winners of this in the past including subsequent Group 1 winner Pathfork for Jessica Harrington last year. Newbury Hall represents the County Kildare handler here and the highly-regarded son of Marju made a fine debut behind David Livingston here last month. That winner's trainer is represented here by the newcomer Apollo and the yard have won it four times in the past ten years. QATAR'S PEARL cost a fortune as a yearling and started favourite for his debut in a strong Naas maiden earlier this month. He had no answer when Captain Obvious quickened that day but the extra furlong here will be a help and he should again take care of third-placed Strait Of Zanzibar.
