Sing Softly looked like winning the Nell Gwyn at Newmarket over 7f until run out of it close home by Barefoot Lady. She gets all the allowances here and should do better over the shorter trip but if TIDDLIWINKS runs anything like he did last time there is only one winner. Kevin Ryan's charge appeared to show dramatic improvement to get within a length of Delegator in the Group 2 Duke Of York Stakes and a repeat of that effort would be good enough. Hitchens, who was close behind and is a very consistent type, looks the main threat if the selection doesn't come up to scratch as Snaefell is saddled with a penalty and was behind Santo Padre at Cork last month.
