Verdict

Jim Bolger has won this for the past three years and can strike again with BANIMPIRE. The son of Holy Roman Emperor made a decent start behind Spin here earlier in the month and will have come on nicely for the experience. Another daughter of the same sire, Holy Alliance, is sure to attract support from the Ballydoyle followers but her pedigree suggests he may do better in his second season. Ballybacka Lady is the definite form pick on her close second to Zaminast at Galway but she was beaten a very long way on her subsequent start behind Why at Leopardstown and needs to bounce back. Cork winner Khelino has been running well enough but was beaten in a nursery last time and may not have the scope of her main rivals. Emotional Dream drops back in trip after showing good pace over a mile at Leopardstown and should be suited.
