Verdict

GLENEAGLES is impossible to oppose after his comprehensive victory at Newmarket, though he'll naturally be at very cramped odds and he's never raced on ground with some give. The Ballydoyle colt quickened nicely into the lead in the first colts' classic and may even have been in front longer than he would have wanted so Ryan Moore may hold on to him a bit longer this time. Ivawood produced a superb run to finish third as he was in a group that weakened quickly and left him without support. He was eventually beaten three lengths but is expected to get closer this time. Surprise Dewhurst winner Belardo is tackling this trip for the first time and the hood is back on after a disappointing return to action in the Greenham so much better is anticipated. Tombelaine ploughed through the mud to score here earlier this month so any further rain would be to his advantage.
