Verdict
Dermot Weld won this with Emulous in 2011 and 2012 and the lightly-raced BROOCH, who won a Group 3 on just her third start at Gowran in September, has looked a potential winner at the highest level. She'll need to improve again but should do so and gets the nod to remain unbeaten. Ramone has stepped out of handicap company to land a Group 3 on heavy going here in March and any deterioration in the ground would greatly aid her cause. Alive Alive Oh was four lengths behind her that day but she's been finding the conditions too testing and is capable of better. Lady Dutch has shown herself to be Listed class at best though she won't mind the ground while her stablemate Pelerin ended the last campaign with a Listed success at Dundalk and she could make the transition to Group company this season.
