Verdict

SHOGUN came here in June for his debut and was heavily supported but ran very green and never looked likely to win. It was a different matter on a return visit last month where the penny had obviously dropped and he ran out an impressive winner. He has much more to do here but Joseph has chosen him over Superlative Stakes runner-up Air Vice Marshall and he's handed the vote. Now Or Never made a very encouraging debut before heading for Galway where he was one of the easiest winners of the meeting. He's no forlorn hope to beat the Ballydoyle duo nor is Herald The Dawn, who beat London in comfortable style at Naas and has entries in all the major races.
