In depth

Verdict

Silwana could prove herself a fine stayer this season after an excellent run over 1m6f in a major handicap at Leopardstown in September. Unrequited steps up from 1m4f at Tipperary where he won as he liked from Mandatario though the latter was having his first start since 2013 and has a 10lb pull in the weights. Alton Bay was in excellent form last summer and will be better for a run over hurdles earlier this month so he's on the shortlist though it's TAGLIETELLE who looks the one to be on. He couldn't quite get to Face Value at Clonmel a couple of weeks ago but had been in fine form over timber previously and with his young rider claiming the maximum he looks well handicapped. Giants Quest is always worth a look at this level while Pyromaniac has been in such good form over hurdles that he has to be considered in a wide-open handicap.
