In depth

Verdict

PALM RIDGE showed plenty of potential in his first campaign and was sent off favourite on his return at Limerick a couple of weeks ago but found the race-fit Brazilian Beauty too strong. He'll come on for that and gets the vote though Muqalad was having only the second start of his career behind Picture Perfect at Naas and can make further progress. The four-year-old Princeton Plains was having his first start for a year when a very good third behind Rocket Man on testing ground here in April when Is Feidir Linn, who has since been beaten at odds-on, was fifth. The John Oxx newcomer Romie's Kastett is related to a host of winners and it would be no great shock if she were to make a winning start in what doesn't look the strongest of maidens.
