This has produced numerous shocks in the past 10 years with no favourite successful. Patrickswell came with a late rattle to catch Liberty Island over 5f at Down Royal last week but an 8lbs rise suggests the runner-up can reverse the form on these terms. Empirico hasn't had much racing and followed a victory over the minimum trip at Tipperary with a fine effort behind Dawn Eclipse here. He looks certain to go well but may have to concede here to AIRSPACE. Mick Halford's charge is slightly worse off with Empirico despite being beaten at Dundalk in March but that was his first run since October and he's since scored over the minimum at Navan. It's hard to desert Collingwood, who did us a favour when beating the in-form Lough Mist at Navan, and Ted Walsh's gelding looks sure to give another good account of himself from 6lbs higher.
