In depth

Verdict

Royal Navy Ship certainly has questions to answer after three disappointing efforts since looking potentially top-class on his debut here in October. Subsequent defeats in small fields at Leopardstown and Gowran were followed by a poor effort in a Longchamp Group 2 and he's best watched for now despite having his sights lowered. Algonquin hasn't run since a narrow victory in a Dundalk maiden in October but King Christophe makes a quick reappearance after a fair run in Saturday's Ulster Derby at Down Royal. FACT OR FOLKLORE is lightly-raced and progressive as she showed when scoring at Dundalk then making an encouraging handicap debut in a tough event here last month. She's on the same mark and looks destined for better things. Pullman Brown is closely matched with the selection on collateral form and should also go well.
