The veteran Maarek loves it around here and is generally to be found in pattern-race company while the lightly-raced Cenotaph, whose only victory came in a Dundalk maiden, caught the eye on his reappearance at Naas and is much better than that run suggests. With her yard in excellent form, Peticoatgovernment will be fancied to complete a hat-trick though she's up 5lb and this is a better race. CAPTAIN POWER wasn't far behind her at Navan on his reappearance and likes it here so he can reverse the form and take this. Ken's Sam's beat a huge field on the latter track last month and is on the upgrade while Sors won three times here last summer and though he would prefer softer ground the threat of thunderstorms in the area could change conditions dramatically which would greatly add to his chances.
