Verdict
CHURCHILL bypasses the Derby to come here and is impossible to oppose after his victory in the first colt's classic at Newmarket, his sixth in succession and third Group 1. As ever in his races, he wasn't flashy but always does enough and it's hard to see what can beat him here. He only had just over a length to spare over stable companion Lancaster Bomber in the Dewhurst and around the same margin in the Guineas and the latter was two lengths behind Thunder Snow in the UAE Derby on Dirt in March. Saeed Bin Suroor's charge went to Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby but was very unruly and had to be pulled up soon after the start. He'd have to be considered for a place on the podium if on his best behaviour while Irishcorrespondent deserves a place in the line-up after beating a decent field in a conditions race here though requires massive improvement to get competitive.
