        Verdict

        A terrific renewal and DREAM AHEAD is hard to oppose after his hugely impressive victory in the Group 1 July Cup at Newmarket last month. Short of room, he had to be switched for a run, but once a gap opened he left his rivals standing and he looks a sprinter right out of the top drawer. Genki and Libranno couldn't live him at HQ and a line through the runner-up Bated Breath also gives him the beating of Ascot's Golden Jubilee Hero Society Rock. Zoffany has been unlucky to come up against the high-class Mutual Trust and the phenomenal Frankel on his last two starts over a mile. He looks the chief threat dropping back in trip unless Wootton Bassett rediscovers his best two-year-old form. Moonlight Cloud also drops back in trip and could prove the leading home challenger as the previous three-time winner of this, Marchand D'Or, is not the force of old nowadays.
