GREEN POWER slips further down the weights and is now a pound lower than when successful at Kempton in the autumn. Ron O has only gone up 3lb for winning a maiden handicap at Redcar but May’s Pontefract winner Eligible couldn’t cope with a 3lb rise at Beverley. A good run from Nikki’s Girl in the opener would boost the claims of Leicester third Blackheath but he has not lasted home over a mile previously. Samuel Spade disappointed here last month after a good run at Haydock and faster ground would be a big concern.
