Verdict

Star Angel made a winning return in novice company at Southwell though has yet to encounter testing ground. The going is also a worry for Captain Haddock and Cogital but it was heavy underfoot when CLANSMAN won at Ayr in October and he gets a speculative vote. Torcello had Two Brothers back in third when winning at Newmarket last autumn and the latter is preferred to stablemate Mister Camacho while Longclaw may prove best of his yard’s two runners.
