In depth

Verdict

The going in an unknown but Desert Fire has to go on the short-list as he’s run well on Tapeta and Polytrack since returning from Dubai. EVERYTHING FOR YOU (NAP) won on soft going last season, however, and pounced late off a strong pace to score over 1m4f at Ripon two weeks ago. A 2lb rise is hardly excessive and Kevin Ryan’s charge can complete a double. Autumn War just came up short over 1m2f here last month but Mordin is in danger of becoming disappointing and this looks too short for Buzz. Mulligatawny was hampered last time when on a hat-trick but might be in the handicapper’s grip now.
