Verdict

A tricky opener with soft ground an unknown for the majority of these. That’s not the case with YARROW GATE, however, who was unlucky on an easy surface at Carlisle before finding Liberty Beach and company too hot to handle in the Hilary Needler at Beverley. Good Night Mr Tom should be a different proposition now going handicapping and will likely enjoy conditions so the top weight is preferred to Keith Dalgleish’s pair One Bite and Aberama Gold. Course winner Rose Bandit may prove best of the rest.
