A small field but a decent looking contest. Danehill Kodiac struggled at ten furlongs last time and he doesn’t look bred for it, though Montsarrat might improve for the step up, having thus far failed to live up to the promise he showed as a two-year-old. Royal Reserve was well beaten at Ascot last time and has questions to answer, so SHABEEB looks the likely answer. He was seriously impressive when taking a maiden at Sandown last time and will be perfectly suited by this galloping track.
