    Verdict

GAS MONKEY has found form with a vengeance and receives no penalty for a recent runaway 8l success at Newbury. His young apprentice is creating a good impression and it looks best to stay with the combination despite a 10lb hike in the ratings. The step-up to 1m4f should not prove a problem. Movie Star has yet to shed maiden status but has only had a handful of starts and ran really well at Windsor when last seen and should be in the shake-up now. Airplane has a claim at his best but is desperately inconsistent, Albert Boy rates an each-way option but the consistent Majestic Stone makes greater shortlist appeal in receipt of weight all round.
