      Verdict

Ebtikaar gets the vote over Gold Gun, with Lets Roll, Group Captain just two more with claims. Three-year-olds have a good record in the November Handicap, and it would appear that Ebtikaar has all the right credentials to land the final big handicap of the Turf Flat season. He goes on soft ground and caught the eye in no uncertain terms when scoring on his latest outing at Newmarket. He stayed on really strongly to beat Soulacroix and has only been raised three-pound by the handicapper. John Dunlop's charge is closely matched with Group Captain who actually beat the selection at Goodwood in July, but is slightly worse off at the weights now. Nevertheless, Sylvester Kirk's runner also goes well in soft ground and is a danger. Gold Gun is definitely worth keeping on the right side as well as he had the distinction of beating Kong at Newbury in May. Very lightly raced, he could be a Group horse in the making and must not be left out of calculations either. Chris Thornton has won this race in the past with the likes of Path Of Peace and Flossy, so Lets Roll has to be respected. He was a disappointment in the Cesarewitch but may do better over this shorter trip. Lightweights Dance To My Tune and Torrid Kentavr are just two more with place claims at least, but Ebtikaar has plenty going for him though and has leading claims.
