Sound Of Iona is thriving on her racing and wasn’t beaten far off this mark at Ascot on Saturday, though is penalised like other recent winners Glorious Rio and Intervention. Dark Shot finished ahead of STONE OF DESTINY at Goodwood at the end of July but the latter had no luck in-running. He is a tricky ride as he has to be held up until the last possible minute but Andrew Balding’s seven-year-old won the Portland here in 2020 when 8lb higher in the weights and Harry Davies is a very talented apprentice. Roach Power, who runs in the same colours, never looked like getting to Space Tracker over 7f at Newmarket but a drop back in trip should suit.
