Verdict

Bispham Green showed a little promise on his debut at this track but then ran poorly at York and the remainder with racecourse experience make no appeal on their form so far. Newcomer Spivey Cove is a half-brother to a prolific winning sprinter and could figure. He makes more appeal than Smooth Handle while the 200,000gns colt Quintilian may do better tackling longer trips if his pedigree and an early entry in next year's Derby are anything to go by. However, THE TAJ is a 200,000gns Street Cry colt out of a high-class winner in America and Richard Hannon's charge is taken to score on his debut.
