Verdict
BOGART makes plenty of appeal on today's terms having won a similar contest at York three weeks ago. A couple of subsequent winners have already come out of that contest and Kevin Ryan's charge should make the most of the 10lb he's receiving from Reply. The Ballydoyle colt never threatened in the Gimcrack at York last time but is still preferred to stablemate Boris Grigoriev. Mehdi also won a sales race on his latest outing at Newmarket and Brian Meehan has won this event twice in recent years, while North Star Boy appears to have the best chance of the Hannon trio at the weights even though Richard Hughes rides Campanology. Paul Hanagan has chosen Ladys First of Richard Fahey's three runners and the unexposed Cockney Dancer could prove best of Charlie Hills' three representatives. Top Cop, Big Note and Rex Imperator are others to consider in a decent contest.
