First Dance has been in excellent form in handicaps on the July Course at Newmarket this summer and is partnered by Brian Harding, the winning rider in 2017. Thrave ran well here in June and Delph Crescent is a previous course winner from the yard that took this two years ago. Richard Johnson teams up with Michael Bell on the four-times winner Greek Kodiac but Shining Aitch has been thriving over further. VASCO DA GAMA was finishing strongly behind Greek Kodiac at Chelmsford last month and is 5lb better off. Noel Fehily will give him every assistance from the saddle and he can get the better of Barry Geraghty’s mount Mumtaaz and the Godolphin three-year-old Natural Colour, who still seeks a first victory.
