      Verdict

      Pole Star is the clear form pick here with his third place in a Group 3 three weeks ago at Newmarket looking a very solid effort. With his proven ability to handle soft ground and his trainer's excellent course form he is a confident TEAMtalk selection to hold off any challenge from the lightly-raced And Beyond. A winner in France earlier in the year Mark Johnston has shown patience with this four-year-old but he will find it hard to concede seven pounds to the selection. The rest look up against it on all previous racecourse form especially as none have excelled on this type of surface in the past.
