    Verdict

DIAMOND GAIT (NAP) beat a subsequent winner in a mares’ maiden at Ludlow before finishing fourth in a Listed race at Newbury where she may not have appreciated the softer surface. Back on quicker going here, Kim Bailey’s mare will be hard to beat. Lunar Jet is progressing slowly but may do better when tackling handicaps. Magellan has won twice on Polytrack this year up to 1m4f so could give a good account if taking to hurdles but Defi Sacre and Norwegian Woods are both making their hurdling debuts and Alan King’s are nothing special.
