Verdict
Medicean Man was only beaten a short-head in the King's Stand Stakes at Ascot in June but never got competitive in the Nunthorpe at York last month and was well beaten in this two years ago in the race won by Roger Varian's Justineo. Varian saddled STEPS (NAP) to finish third in this 12 months ago, with Monsieur Joe and Kingsgate Native behind, and the seven-year-old can get his head in front this year carrying 3lb less. Neither of the two-year-olds, Field of Vision nor Sign of The Kodiac, make much appeal but Cotai Glory is a Group 3 winner who has claims on his fifth to Muthmir at Goodwood where he finished ahead of Kingsgate Native.
