    Verdict

    A disappointing turnout for a race that carries decent prize money. Nafaqa has been highly tried this year but showed she stays this trip when fourth to Peacock in a Listed race at Newmarket in the spring. She gets all the allowances but we fancy the still-improving York winner ELHAAME to have her measure with Saeed bin Suroor's stable bidding for a hat-trick in this contest and a fourth victory in eight years. Red Galileo was second in this last year when rated 2lb higher and rarely competes outside of pattern company but his strike-rate is off-putting.
