Verdict
Gumdrop, from last year’s winning stable, was a comfortable winner over 6f at Chester on his handicap debut he’s not certain to enjoy this extra furlong on pedigree. Ataser beat MAYAAS a length-and-a-quarter over this trip at York but got first run on the runner-up, who was slow into stride. William Haggas’ colt is 3lb better off and may have more scope so can reverse placings. Windsor winner Twilight Song doesn’t look badly treated running in his first nursery while Concessions is eased in grade but Al Watan has a lot to prove having been a beaten favourite in both starts to date. This looks a stiff task for A Boy Named Ivy and Party Game.
