Verdict
Caradoc slips further down the weights and is much respected dropping back to his best trip. Data Protection is in the form of his life and another bold bid is anticipated, despite a further step up the handicap. Starcat was very much an eye-catcher trying 1m2f for the first time at Goodwood and the in-form Mayfair Spirit and Strait Of Hormuz have crept in at the foot of the weights. DEREVO (NAP) has finished behind Sky Defender at Goodwood and York in his last two starts but was poorly drawn on both occasions. The starting position here is less important and Sir Michael Stoute’s colt can get to winning ways today on ground that will suit.
