NonRunner

In depth

Verdict

Sultans Pride is 2-3 this term but 5lb worse off than when beating Moon King three-and-a-half lengths here at the end of December. The runner-up has since run a shocker at Haydock but The Macon Lugnatic is a dour stayer who likes it here and is back on a winning mark reverting to hurdles. Welsh Saint hasn’t been getting home but Scarpia won over 3m1f at Plumpton and escapes a penalty with that being a race for conditionals. Lord Roco only won a maiden at Newcastle but is clearly improving. TERRESITA won her bumper on good going and she has taken well to hurdles, scoring at Fakenham on New Year’s Day and running right up to that form when just touched off at Ludlow. She’s gone up another 7lb but the champion-elect takes over the reins from a 10lb claimer.
