Verdict
Terre de Java can make up for his recent lapse and is selected ahead of Down The Stretch and Travello. Terre de Java took on decent company over hurdles last season and had by all accounts schooled very well prior to his chase debut at Folkestone last month. So, it was disappointing for connections when he came down at the eighth fence when going extremely well, and as he should relish the galloping contours of Town Moor, he is expected to make amends before tackling better company. Down The Stretch has taken on Cornish Rebel and Made In Japan on his two outings over fences to date although he is still very much on a learning curve, while Travello likewise has shown little over fences so far. He did mix it with good company over hurdles though so will no doubt pay his way in due course. The rest are hard to make claims for and Terre de Java should prove to be the answer.
