In depth

Verdict

A modest beginning but there may be more to come from Magic Circle now he goes handicapping and he looks better treated than another handicap debutante, Duchess Of Marmite, who was well beaten on her first try on Turf. Stormin Tom bolted up at Nottingham last month and will be a danger to all if in the same mood, though is 11lb higher. SAMPERA was keeping on over 1m2f at Nottingham last time and, being out of a Sadler's Well mare, should be suited by another quarter-mile so gets the nod over top weight Siren's Cove and Mark Johnston's maiden Nomenklatura.
