In depth

Verdict

There is no doubting the form of Godolphin's two-year-olds and Rajwa is selected to get the final day of the St Leger meeting off to a flyer for the boys in blue. Reqqa and Galeota are quite closely matched on what they have achieved up to press and are preferred over Obe Gold as the two to concentrate on for the forecast. The former was undone by the lack of pace at Ripon last time and can come out on top in that personal battle today. Obe Gold looks the preferred of the two Mick Channon-trained runners, but he is in danger of becoming disappointing and looks opposable on balance. Especially when the challenge of Rajwa is factored in. This faster surface will help bring the best out of the son of Dubai Millennium and the mount of Kerrin McKevoy appears to hold all the aces today.
