Verdict

MY SINGLE MALT is progressing well and can win again. Tom Tate's colt built on a Ripon maiden win with victory at Newcastle on slow ground and he is open to plenty of improvement with further rain unlikely to be an issue. Colour Vision is rangy and scopey and will be running on at the line, Borug drops in grade but has a little to prove after his Salisbury flop where his jockey reported he was never travelling, whilst Buthelezi is one of several in the race who will contest middle distances next year but he won despite being green at Yarmouth and will be hard to keep out of the frame on this straight mile. Of the rest Early Applause makes some appeal after an improved effort at York, whilst Nicola's Dream and El Torbellino both shape as if this longer trip will draw out some more improvement.
