          Verdict

          Marvellous Value had the revitalised Dickie Le Davoir back in third when successful at Newcastle last time and should confirm the form here. Richard Guest also saddles Ginger Ted, however, who got up late to win over 5f at Ayr last month having finished behind Mon Brav over this trip at Thirsk earlier. Baby Strange is 5lb higher than when winning this 12 months ago but there are possibilities about Tagula Night, who was much improved in the second half of last season and was runner-up on his reappearance at Nottingham. Flowing Cape comes here off the back of a win at Catterick and can reverse Leicester running in April with Norville but this can go to the lightly-raced DORBACK. Not unfancied on his return from a break at Newbury, Henry Candy's gelding met all kinds of trouble in running and compensation awaits here if Jamie Spencer can avoid traffic problems.
