Verdict

A fiendishly difficult renewal of this prize and BAHAMIAN BABE rates as a speculative selection against Lord Shanakill and Madame Trop Vite. Bahamian Babe does have a little to find on the formbook but the filly looks to be fairly well drawn this afternoon and though she hasn't had any experience of the soft going, as a daughter of Bahamian Bounty, there is every reason to believe that she'll act on it. Lord Shanakill has group form to his name, latterly with a third in the Prix Morny at Deauville. He sets a fair standard on paper for the others to aim at. Madame Trop Vite won a listed prize at Newbury in fine style. Granted, this is a step up in sights but she definitely comes under the guise of a progressive performer. Senor Mirasol won a weak listed stakes at Tipperary in solid style. He probably didn't beat a lot on balance. Chester winner, Doncaster Rover is sure to be popular with the hometown contingent. Danehill Destiny started off the season in top order but has slumped down the ratings as the season has wore on. Mythical Border represents a powerful combination and must be watched in the market accordingly. A tough call in the opener and at the likely odds, Bahamian Babe makes a fair degree of appeal for the each-way players.
