Bronze Angel was second in this last year and this is normally his time of year so he is worth a second look as he is starting to come down the weights. But Birdman may be feeling the effects of a busy last few weeks and Ayaar has become a little disappointing since looking one to follow at Newbury in the spring. Belgian Bill is 5lb higher than when second at Goodwood in July and Man Of Harlech was raised 7lb for winning a lesser contest at Ffos Las. All of PERIL's victories have come over 7f but he wasn't stopping last time at Haydock on an easier surface. This is a step up in grade but he's still improving and looks up to the test. Alfred Hutchinson has some solid form to his name but seems to reserve his best for York and Wolverhampton while Starboard needs softer going.
