      Verdict

      Trainer Ian Williams had four winners on Thursday and can have another here with Saint Reverein, who gets our vote ahead of Ocean Dancer. Placed in all five of his French starts, the selection makes his British debut here but his trainer, who worked for Francois Doumen for a number of years, has already proven that he can hit the target with imports, and he would not have to be a world beater to score at the first time of asking. Compadre and Ocean Dancer put in some reasonable efforts over hurdles last year, with the latter possibly looking the better of the pair. Dalcassian King was put in his place in a much better event at Warwick last time and, although he ran well the time before, is nothing out of the ordinary. Vulcan Lane was beaten in a selling hurdle last time and would need to step up on what he has so far shown. This leads us back to Saint Reverein who, getting the four-year-old weight allowances, can continue Ian Williams' purple patch.
