Verdict
JAMES GARFIELD (NAP) sets a strong standard for the progressive Scott operation, which posted a juvenile success earlier this week. The Exceed And Excel colt stepped up dramatically on a promising Leicester debut to run a stormer in the Windsor Castle Stakes at the Royal meeting and looks nailed on for a maiden contest such as this. It will be disappointing if he does not prove good enough before returning to a higher grade. Shuhood is an interesting newcomer for the Hannon team whilst Mont Kinabalu, fourth in a decent maiden at Ayr on debut, looks the main danger to the selection from those to have run. Better can also be expected from the likes of Spray The Sea and Crown Of Cortez.
