In depth

Formwatch

Cereus (USA) Improving with his racing and rates an excellent candidate with trainer very much in form; proven on good and good to soft.

Hoax (IRE) One of the most experienced in the field and is generally consistent; has raced only on a sound surface and could land a place.

Salute (IRE) Another who is improving with racing; best effort last time over this trip and with trainer in form could take all the beating.

Bollin Eric Came up against a useful sort on his second run but did not even have to be at his best when winning well at Beverley last time; trainer loves it here and a good show is expected.

Shifty Put up best effort in defeat last time at Lingfield and shaped as though step up in trip would suit; should improve again and go close.

Fairy Monarch (IRE) Ran a stinker last time out at York but that trip was inadequate and if reproducing form of Newmarket win in July will go close.

Penny Pictures (IRE) Ran best race when beaten at York last time out and must have a chance if appreciating step up in trip.

Rafferty (IRE) Some good efforts but could struggle here.

Corton (IRE) Will stay this trip and looks an improver; live chance but may find a couple of less exposed types to good.

First Ordained (IRE) Disappointed in maiden last time and although form before that was solid may not be good enough here; trainer not in the best of form.

Raybaan (IRE) Not really progressed from debut effort and Yarmouth debut run and a mile does not seem to suit.

Miss Opulence (IRE) Excellent effort last time out in strongly run race at Sandown and could be the dark horse here for in-form trainer.

Only Penang (IRE) Has yet to prove he definitely stays this trip and looks slightly out of his depth.

Princess Petardia (IRE) Seems better suited by shorter but trainer can never be ruled out at this track.

Shove Ha'penny (IRE) If appreciating this step up in trip this filly could take all the beating but is not guaranteed to stay.

Short Change (IRE) Improving type who has the same credentials as the trainer's winner here on Wednesday; shouldn't short change punters.

Ela d'Argent (IRE) Winner of tactical race at Newcastle last time when showing great improvement; chance but other preferred.

Girl of Pleasure (IRE) Interestingly named and improving filly who would have had a better chance if her trainer was in form; place chance at best.
