Verdict
Last time out winners Arcalis, Silvaline and Polish Corridor all warrant respect but preference is for another of the runners to have won on their most recent start Chantress, who looks to be open to more improvement. Mark Johnston's filly was opening her account in handicap-company (on only her fourth start in public) when beating Not Amused by two lengths over this length at Chester. A 6lb rise since then seems fair and Chantress is taken to follow up. Sir Michael Stoute's Tug Of Love has run some respectable races in defeat but is creeping up in the weights as a result and may prefer a faster surface so is best left out of calculations. Silvaline was a surprising winner at Sandown last time and is entitled to be thereabouts again, while a market move for Lynda Ramsden's recent Newmarket winner Arcalis would be interesting. Polish Corridor deserved his win at Kempton last week but has more to do now, while Frontier has offered little sign of encouragement in his last two starts. At the top of the handicap, the David Nicholls-trained Jabaar and Jonjo O'Neill's East Tycoon are interesting runners and are worthy of a mention but Chantress holds solid claims and is the selection.
