Verdict

Placed at Chelmsford and in a handicap at York since completing a double at Newbury and Haydock at the start of the summer, the lightly-raced MYSTIC FLIGHT has still to prove he handles this easier going but is probably the one to beat. Italian import Pettifogger is having a first run for Marco Botti so may be best watched but Maverick Officer and Ulshaw Bridge were first and second at Haydock in June competing on the same terms and the latter won over a mile here subsequently. Highlight Reel found some form at Newmarket last month but Whinmoor looks the more progressive, though has been hit with a further 10lb rise since completing a four-timer at Carlisle.
