Verdict
A big field of modest handicappers ridden by inexperienced jockeys suggests a tricky start for punters. Mike Appleby won last year's renewal and will be hoping for a big run from veteran The Lock Master. Dry Your Eyes has been getting closer while Kristjano is often thereabouts. Les Gar Gan struggles to get his head in front, however, while Longside has been raised 3lb since a narrow defeat at Brighton. SAFIRA MENINA will have benefited from a comeback third and though she's saved her best so far for Brighton she has been placed at Sandown and should give supporters a run for their money.
