        In depth

        Verdict

        Viking Storm is much improved this year and was winning for the third time in four starts when beating Ittirad at Ascot last month. The handicapper has taken note, however, and he's on a new career-high mark today. Fattsota is suited by this trip nowadays and is another to have scored at Ascot on his latest start but New Hampshire probably needs to improve again on his Carlisle win to follow up and it remains to be seen whether Dreamspeed retains all of his ability after time off, though he didn't run badly at Haydock two runs ago or in last month's Ebor. Scatter Dice and MARTIN CHUZZLEWIT both ran in the race won by Ahzeemah at Ascot last week but neither had much chance from an outside draw and ran accordingly. The former came out best but had a much harder race and we expect Sir Michael Stoute's colt to reverse the form today and open his account for the season as he'd gone very close in a hot handicap at York on his previous run. Rio's Rosanna and Incendo are useful handicappers but probably a shade high in the weights at present.
